What's the impact of your system on room temperature?

When a smart thermostat senses that someone is in a room, that person can change the temperature however they want. But when the room is empty, the thermostat lets the temperature go a bit higher or lower for a while until someone comes back into the room. When that happens, the temperature goes back to what the person had set it to before.
